Which companies sponsor visas for product management leads in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Salesforce, and Expedia are among the most active sponsors for product management lead roles in Washington. Smaller high-growth companies in the Seattle-Bellevue area, particularly in cloud services and enterprise SaaS, also file H-1B petitions for senior product roles. Sponsorship is more common at established technology employers than at early-stage startups, which may lack the legal infrastructure for petition filing.
Which visa types are most common for product management lead roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product management leads in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates with prior H-1B approval at another employer may be eligible for a transfer. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in product leadership.
Which cities in Washington have the most product management lead sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the overwhelming majority of product management lead sponsorship opportunities in Washington. Redmond is significant due to Microsoft's headquarters. Kirkland and Bothell also host product teams from large technology employers. These cities form a concentrated technology corridor along the I-405 and I-90 corridors where international hiring for senior product roles is most active.
How to find product management lead visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify product management lead roles in Washington without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings from employers actively filing petitions. This is particularly useful for senior product roles in Seattle and Bellevue where competition is high and sponsorship terms vary by employer.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for product management lead sponsorship candidates?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage benchmarking and total compensation comparisons during the Labor Condition Application process. The Seattle metro is designated a high-cost area by the Department of Labor, so prevailing wage requirements for product management lead roles tend to be higher than the national average. Candidates coming through university pipelines at the University of Washington, particularly from its Foster School of Business or Paul G. Allen School, are well-positioned for roles in the region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product management lead jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
