Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for product management leads?
Fiserv in Milwaukee is one of Wisconsin's most active H-1B sponsors and regularly hires senior product management talent. Epic Systems in Verona and Exact Sciences in Madison also have sponsorship histories for experienced product roles. Smaller Milwaukee-based fintech and healthtech firms sponsor less frequently, but it does occur, particularly for roles where specialized technical product expertise is difficult to source domestically.
Which visa types are most common for product management lead roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product management lead roles in Wisconsin, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through intracompany transfers also move into product lead roles at multinationals with Wisconsin offices. O-1A is an option for candidates with an exceptional track record, though it requires substantial documented evidence.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product management lead sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the large majority of product management lead sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of financial technology and insurance firms, led by companies like Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual, drives the most volume. Madison benefits from Epic Systems' scale and a growing healthtech cluster around the University of Wisconsin. Green Bay and the Fox Valley see occasional openings but at significantly lower frequency.
How to find product management lead visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for product management lead roles in Wisconsin without sifting through postings from employers who won't sponsor. The platform surfaces roles at companies with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful in Wisconsin where sponsoring employers are concentrated in Milwaukee and Madison's fintech and healthtech sectors rather than spread evenly across the state.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for product management leads in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B rules apply uniformly. For product management lead roles, employers must file a Labor Condition Application confirming the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the occupation in the specific Wisconsin metro area. Milwaukee and Madison are classified separately for prevailing wage purposes, so the LCA wage floor differs between them. Employers at Wisconsin's larger tech firms tend to be more familiar with this process than smaller regional companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product management lead jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
