Which companies in Minnesota sponsor visas for product management leads?
Several large Minnesota employers have established track records of H-1B visa sponsorship for senior product roles. Target's digital and technology division, UnitedHealth Group's Optum technology arm, Best Buy's e-commerce team, and medical device companies like Medtronic and Boston Scientific regularly file H-1B petitions for product management positions. Mid-size software firms in the Twin Cities metro also sponsor, though at lower volumes than these enterprise employers.
What visa types are most common for product management lead roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product management leads in Minnesota, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1A intracompany transferee status or O-1 visas for extraordinary ability may also find opportunities. Product management consistently meets USCIS specialty occupation criteria given its technical and analytical requirements.
Which Minnesota cities have the most product management lead sponsorship jobs?
The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro accounts for the overwhelming majority of product management lead sponsorship activity in Minnesota. Minneapolis proper hosts many tech and retail headquarters, while suburbs like Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Bloomington are home to major employers including UnitedHealth Group and Best Buy's corporate campus. Rochester has growing opportunities tied to Mayo Clinic's digital health and technology initiatives.
How to find product management lead visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product management lead openings in Minnesota where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through thousands of general postings, you can search by role and state to surface positions at Target, UnitedHealth Group, Medtronic, and other Minnesota employers with sponsorship histories for product leadership roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for product management leads seeking sponsorship in Minnesota?
Minnesota's Department of Labor sets prevailing wage benchmarks that H-1B employers must meet for product management lead roles, and the Twin Cities market commands competitive prevailing wages given the density of large corporate headquarters. The University of Minnesota and local MBA programs supply domestic talent, so sponsored candidates often need demonstrable experience in health tech, retail technology, or enterprise software to stand out in a competitive local hiring pool.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product management lead jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
