Which companies sponsor visas for product owners in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia Group, Zillow, Tableau, and Smartsheet are among the Washington employers with consistent H-1B visa filing histories for product-related roles. Enterprise software, e-commerce, and cloud infrastructure companies in the Seattle-Bellevue corridor account for a large share of sponsorship activity. Consulting firms and mid-sized SaaS companies in the region also file LCAs for product owner positions regularly.
Which visa types are most common for product owner roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product owners in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field. L-1B transfers are also used when candidates move internally from an overseas office to a Washington location. Australian nationals working in product management may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Washington have the most product owner sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue together account for the overwhelming majority of product owner sponsorship opportunities in Washington. Seattle's South Lake Union and Capitol Hill neighborhoods host major tech campuses, while Bellevue's Eastside tech corridor is home to Microsoft headquarters and dozens of mid-market software companies. Redmond, Kirkland, and Bothell also have notable employer concentrations for product and program roles.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter product owner roles by state, including Washington. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with documented H-1B filing histories for product roles in Washington, saving significant research time. It is the most targeted starting point for this specific job search.
Are there any Washington-specific factors that affect product owner visa sponsorship?
Washington's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations for product owner roles reflect the state's high cost of living, which means sponsored salaries are generally benchmarked well above national averages. The University of Washington and Washington State University produce graduate pipelines that some local employers draw from for OPT hires before converting to H-1B sponsorship. Washington has no state income tax, which is a distinct financial consideration for sponsored workers relocating here.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
