Founded in 2014 in Seattle, we have offices in Minneapolis, New York, Salt Lake City, and London. Since November 2020, Stackline has raised $180 million in strategic investments from Goldman Sachs Growth Equity and TA Associates.
Stackline is on a mission to fuel the future of commerce by bringing brands and customers closer together.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The way consumers discover and buy products is being rewritten — and Stackline sits at the center of that shift. As a Senior Manager on the Strategic Insights team, you'll be a trusted advisor to some of the world's most recognized brands, helping them navigate a rapidly evolving landscape where AI-powered shopping agents, digital shelf dynamics, and real-time data are reshaping how purchase decisions get made.
You’ll independently lead complex, end-to-end consulting engagements for some of the world’s largest enterprise brands — combining Stackline’s proprietary datasets with a powerful suite of AI tools to uncover growth opportunities, build compelling narratives, and deliver recommendations that move the needle. This isn’t a back-office analytics role — you’ll be the primary strategic advisor for your clients, owning the relationship from scoping through delivery, and helping shape how the team operates and evolves. If you’re someone who thrives in high-stakes client conversations as much as in spreadsheets, and who gets genuinely excited about what AI is doing to commerce, this role was built for you.
This is a hybrid role (4 days/week in office) at our office located in Downtown Seattle.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Client Relationships & Communication
- Own and grow consulting relationships with a portfolio of leading global brands, serving as their strategic advisor
- Lead client calls with confidence — synthesizing performance trends, aligning on priorities, and proactively bringing new ideas to the table
- Translate complex datasets and analyses into polished, persuasive narratives for executive and cross-functional stakeholders
- Build and deliver high-quality client-facing materials — presentations, performance recaps, one-pagers, and strategic frameworks — that make data feel urgent and actionable
Ecommerce Strategy & AI Shopping
- Conduct deep market, category, and competitor analyses to sharpen clients' ecommerce strategies and keep them ahead of fast-moving trends
- Advise clients on how to win across both the traditional digital shelf and the emerging agentic shelf — where AI assistants like Amazon Rufus, ChatGPT Shopping, and Perplexity are increasingly driving purchase decisions
- Identify optimization opportunities across AI shopping visibility, content, pricing, promotions, and advertising — and connect those levers to measurable business outcomes
AI-Powered Analysis & Insight
- Work inside a robust stack of AI tools — including Stackline's proprietary AI Visibility and Advisor platforms — to accelerate research, surface insights faster, and produce higher-quality deliverables in less time
- Use AI to streamline recurring workflows: automated reporting, trend detection, content audits, and more
- Identify opportunities to scale or automate existing service offerings, contributing to how the team evolves its delivery model
- Generate performance reports and forecasts that connect historical data to forward-looking strategic recommendations
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, helping elevate the quality and consistency of the team’s client deliverables
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, the Liberal Arts, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in ecommerce, retail analytics, consulting, or a client-facing analytics role — with a demonstrated track record of independently owning complex client engagements
- Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and visual — with a demonstrated ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; you know how to make data compelling, not just accurate
- Proven ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, confident recommendations
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) as a genuine accelerant to your work
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously without dropping the ball
- Experience manipulating large datasets with SQL or comparable querying tools
- You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and have innate curiosity
Bonus Points if you have
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Familiarity with AI shopping surfaces — Amazon Rufus, ChatGPT Shopping, Google AI Overviews, or similar
- Background in retail, CPG, digital advertising, or startup environments

Which companies sponsor visas for strategy professionals in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing are among the most active sponsors for strategy roles in Washington, given their large corporate strategy and business development teams. Management consulting firms with Seattle offices, including McKinsey, BCG, and Deloitte, also sponsor regularly. Technology companies headquartered in the Seattle metro area tend to file H-1B visa petitions for strategy analysts and corporate development managers at higher rates than most industries.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy professionals in Washington, as roles like strategic analyst, corporate strategy manager, and business development associate typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates with advanced degrees may also see H-1B cap exemptions through university-affiliated employers. Australians should note the E-3 visa as an alternative pathway that avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
Which cities in Washington have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the large majority of strategy sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of technology firms, corporate headquarters, and consulting offices. Bellevue, directly east of Seattle, hosts significant strategy hiring through companies like Expedia and T-Mobile. Redmond is notable for Microsoft's global headquarters, which includes one of the largest corporate strategy functions in the country.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, with filters for role type and state so you can search strategy jobs in Washington directly. Because not every job posting explicitly states whether sponsorship is available, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with documented H-1B or E-3 visa filing histories, saving significant research time for strategy candidates targeting the Seattle and Bellevue markets.
Are there state-specific factors that affect strategy visa sponsorship hiring in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B positions. The state's technology-heavy economy means many strategy roles are embedded within product, operations, or corporate development teams rather than standalone strategy departments, so candidates benefit from highlighting cross-functional experience. Washington's proximity to major university programs at the University of Washington also creates a competitive candidate pool that employers already have infrastructure to sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
