ABOUT THE ROLE
The core objective of this role is to ensure total conformance with Client EHS policies and site-specific construction requirements during the entire project duration. This role will lead by example, maintain high standards for onsite attendance and performance to meet all stakeholder and employer expectations.
Join our team onsite in Huntington, West Virginia! We are willing to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Oversee General Contractor EHS compliance through daily site field tours, twice-weekly safety project management walks, and monthly evaluations.
- Provide construction management with real-time safety metrics, incident management reports, and weekly EHS summaries.
- Participate in safety committees and support the business in risk assessments, incident investigations (SPE), and design/scope and project milestone reviews.
- Manage the safety improvement and recognition reporting system daily, meet SLAs for entire team participation across site, and ensure immediate correction of non-compliance issues at the site level.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Experience: 3–5 years in mission-critical and/or data center construction with complex electrical/mechanical systems.
- Education/Experience: BS degree, or 5–7 years of related experience with 2+ years in safety supervision and/or field supervision over electrical/mechanical/heavy equipment skilled workers.
- Safety Expertise: Extensive knowledge of electric safety codes (NFPA70E), regulations (OSHA, NESC, ANSI, etc.), and industry best practices for large-scale critical construction projects.
- Skills: Strong communication and influencing skills; ability to work independently, experience in analyzing root cause and valuable contributions on risk mitigation measures, proven successes mentoring others while continuously leading by example.
- Tools: Proficient in technology tools and systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
