The Assistant Mgr, Service NPD combines strong technical, project management, and cross-functional organizational skills to ensure that products in his/her portfolio are ready to be serviced upon their launch and remain “service-ready” throughout their lifecycle. Working constantly with product engineering, marketing, international manufacturing, finance, and quality, as well as Service functions like spare parts, technical literature, and service center engineering, this role leads the execution of service-readiness in Service centers, branches, and authorized service centers, and also supports service readiness in global regions.
In addition to actual product projects, the Assistant Mgr, Service NPD helps create, implement, and improve the tools and processes needed to perform its functions. This job description lists major areas of responsibility. Additional job duties and objectives may change with the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and own the global service-readiness plan, including key milestones and deadlines, to ensure products are service-ready across all customer touchpoints at launch.
- Analyze sales forecasts, market trends, service demand, and regional business requirements to determine repair strategy recommendations by region.
- Understand the underlying technology, service expectations, and competitive service landscape for existing and upcoming products in his/her portfolio.
- Potential opportunities for exposure to new-to-Milwaukee and new-to-world products which would include creating all-new service programs and touchpoints.
- Communicate and advocate for incorporating service needs into product designs.
- Ensure readiness planning follows VIGOR and Service VIGOR, Milwaukee’s new product development standards.
- Develop the repair and maintenance programs, including frequency, cost, complexity, and tooling and fixture needs.

- Work with Quality and Engineering to develop repair SOPs, end of line tests, required tooling and fixturing, and quality collection regimens.
- Design the technical and support literature strategy. Assist/guide the resources creating those documents, videos, and other support collateral, including what will be used for training.
- Coordinate with Service commercial departments to ensure alignment with customer-facing programs and initiatives.
- Work closely to coordinate and support readiness rollouts with repair hubs, factory service centers, authorized service centers, and global regions. Which companies sponsor visas for assistant account managers in Wisconsin?
Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, and Kohl's are among the larger Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in client services and account management functions. Manufacturing firms like Johnson Controls and Rockwell Automation also hire for account support roles. Sponsorship varies by team and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer's talent acquisition team is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant account manager positions in Wisconsin, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, marketing, or communications. Some candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT work authorization are hired before an H-1B petition is filed. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business analyst categories.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and professional services firms. Madison offers growing opportunities through its tech sector and university-affiliated organizations. Green Bay has a smaller but active market tied to logistics, packaging, and regional manufacturing companies that maintain account management teams serving national clients.
How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can search assistant account manager roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers with active sponsorship history in the state. Combining that with direct outreach to Milwaukee and Madison-based firms in financial services and technology gives the most targeted approach.
Are there state-specific considerations for assistant account manager visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which the Department of Labor determines based on job duties and local market data. Milwaukee and Madison have distinct prevailing wage levels reflecting their different market sizes. Candidates from Wisconsin's university pipeline, particularly UW-Madison and Marquette University, are well represented in account management hiring at major state employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
