Which companies sponsor visas for business development associates in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in business development and related commercial roles include Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, Kohl's, Johnson Controls, and Exact Sciences. Larger enterprises with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure are generally better positioned to manage sponsorship than smaller firms. Candidates targeting Wisconsin should focus on mid-to-large companies in financial services, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.
Which visa types are most common for business development associate roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development associates in Wisconsin, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or economics must be a genuine requirement of the position. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business analyst categories. O-1 visas apply to candidates with demonstrably exceptional professional recognition.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most business development associate sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the largest share of business development associate sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of Fortune 500 companies and financial services firms drives demand, while Madison benefits from university-affiliated startups and biotech employers such as Exact Sciences and Epic Systems. Green Bay and Waukesha offer additional opportunities, particularly in manufacturing, logistics, and regional healthcare networks.
How to find business development associate visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find business development associate roles in Wisconsin without manually screening each posting. You can search by state and role to surface employers actively open to sponsoring international candidates. Given that sponsorship is not universally advertised, using a dedicated platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to general job searching.
What state-specific factors should international candidates know about business development associate roles in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay at least the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the role and location, which differs between Milwaukee, Madison, and smaller metro areas. The University of Wisconsin system produces a strong pipeline of international business graduates, meaning competition for sponsored roles can be meaningful. Candidates with prior U.S. work authorization, such as OPT, often have an advantage since employers can evaluate performance before committing to long-term sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development associate jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
