Which companies sponsor visas for director of project management roles in Wisconsin?
The most active sponsors for director of project management roles in Wisconsin include Epic Systems in Verona, Northwestern Mutual and Kohl's in Milwaukee, and Advocate Aurora Health across multiple locations. Large manufacturers like Rockwell Automation and Johnson Controls also sponsor for senior project leadership. These employers have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B petitions for experienced project management professionals.
Which visa types are most common for director of project management roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of project management roles in Wisconsin, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates with significant international executive experience may also qualify under the L-1A intracompany transferee category if their employer has a qualifying foreign affiliate.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most director of project management sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary hub for director of project management sponsorship jobs, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and consumer retail employers. Madison follows closely, largely due to Epic Systems and the broader technology and life sciences ecosystem around the University of Wisconsin. Green Bay and Waukesha County also see activity from manufacturing and healthcare system employers.
How to find director of project management visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find director of project management visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin. The platform filters roles specifically by sponsorship availability, so you're not sifting through positions that won't support a visa. Focus your search on Milwaukee and Madison, where healthcare systems, financial services firms, and technology employers like Epic Systems are the most consistent sources of senior project management sponsorship.
Are there any state-specific considerations for director of project management roles in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring a director of project management on an H-1B must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Milwaukee and Madison prevailing wages differ, so multisite roles require separate LCA filings for each worksite. Wisconsin's strong healthcare and insurance sectors mean many sponsoring employers also have established legal teams experienced with executive-level immigration petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of project management jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
