Which cybersecurity companies in Wisconsin sponsor Green Card visas?
Northwestern Mutual, ManpowerGroup, Fiserv, and Epic Systems are among the Wisconsin employers with documented histories of sponsoring permanent-resident visas for cybersecurity professionals. Major healthcare systems such as Froedtert Health and UW Health also sponsor Green Cards for security engineers and compliance specialists. Defense contractors operating near Milwaukee occasionally sponsor clearance-eligible cybersecurity roles as well.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most cybersecurity Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of sponsored cybersecurity positions in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and IT services firms. Madison follows closely, anchored by Epic Systems and the University of Wisconsin research corridor. Green Bay and Appleton have smaller but active markets, particularly in manufacturing cybersecurity and regional financial institutions seeking permanent sponsorship candidates.
What types of cybersecurity roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that require a specialized bachelor's degree or higher and involve non-routine technical judgment tend to qualify. In Wisconsin, sponsored positions commonly include information security analysts, cloud security architects, penetration testers, identity and access management engineers, and GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) specialists. Roles tied to regulated industries like banking, insurance, and healthcare carry particularly consistent sponsorship histories because those employers maintain established immigration programs.
How do I find cybersecurity Green Card sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, so you can search for cybersecurity roles in Wisconsin where employers have confirmed Green Card sponsorship. The platform surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application filing history by employer, helping you identify which Wisconsin companies have actively sponsored permanent-resident visas for security professionals rather than relying on unverified job description language.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for cybersecurity Green Card sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level restrictions on employer-sponsored immigration, but the PERM labor certification process requires employers to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers were available at the prevailing wage for your specific location. Cybersecurity candidates in Milwaukee and Madison should note that the DOL uses metropolitan-area wage data, so prevailing wages differ between those metros and smaller Wisconsin cities. Confirm your employer is filing under the correct geographic wage tier.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card cybersecurity jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
