Which electronics companies in Wisconsin sponsor Green Card visas?
Plexus Corp (Neenah), Rockwell Automation (Milwaukee), and Johnson Controls (Milwaukee) are among the Wisconsin electronics employers with documented Green Card sponsorship history, based on Department of Labor PERM filing disclosures. Medical device companies such as Exact Sciences and GE Healthcare's Wisconsin operations also appear in PERM data for engineering roles. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case and are never guaranteed.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the largest concentration point, driven by its industrial automation and energy electronics sector. Madison follows, with semiconductor-adjacent firms and university-linked hardware startups. The Fox Valley corridor, anchored by Neenah and Appleton, is notable for contract electronics manufacturing. Green Bay has a smaller but present base of defense and industrial electronics employers that appear in PERM filing records.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher tend to qualify most consistently. Hardware engineers, embedded systems engineers, PCB design engineers, RF engineers, and VLSI design specialists are among the positions that appear frequently in PERM filings from Wisconsin electronics employers. Quality and reliability engineering roles tied to medical device manufacturing also show up regularly. Positions requiring only general technical skills without a degree requirement are less likely to clear the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for Green Card-sponsoring electronics employers in Wisconsin directly without sifting through postings that don't apply to your situation. The platform aggregates roles from companies with documented sponsorship activity, which saves time when you're targeting permanent residency pathways. Filtering by the Electronics and Hardware category alongside the Wisconsin location gives you the most relevant results.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Wisconsin's electronics industry?
Wisconsin does not have a state-level immigration program, so Green Card sponsorship follows federal PERM and I-140 processes regardless of location. That said, Wisconsin's concentration of medical device and industrial automation employers means many sponsored roles fall under EB-2 or EB-3 preference categories, which are subject to annual per-country backlogs. Indian and Chinese nationals in particular should factor priority date wait times into their planning when evaluating Wisconsin employers.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card electronics jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
