Which medical devices companies sponsor Green Card visas in Wisconsin?
Several established medical devices employers in Wisconsin have documented histories of Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification. Exact Sciences in Madison, Promega Corporation, Spacelabs Medical, and Plexus Corp in Neenah are among the larger employers with international workforces. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case based on role, department needs, and individual qualifications, so no outcome is guaranteed.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Madison leads Wisconsin for medical devices sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of life sciences and diagnostics companies alongside the University of Wisconsin research ecosystem. Milwaukee is the second major hub, with manufacturing-oriented medical devices employers. The Fox Valley region, particularly Neenah and Appleton, hosts contract manufacturing and electronics-focused medical devices firms that regularly hire internationally.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles requiring specialized education and technical expertise are the most commonly sponsored. These include quality engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, R&D engineers, software engineers working on device software, manufacturing process engineers, and clinical specialists with advanced degrees. Positions tied to FDA compliance, product development, and design verification tend to attract sponsorship because the required skill sets are specific and in demand.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international professionals seeking Green Card sponsorship roles and filters jobs by visa type, industry, and state. Searching for medical devices positions in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have sponsored Green Cards in this sector, saving significant time compared to manually researching individual companies. Combining that with targeted outreach to Wisconsin-based medical devices employers strengthens your search.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in medical devices?
Wisconsin's medical devices industry has a strong manufacturing and quality focus, which means many sponsored roles fall under EB-2 or EB-3 categories depending on degree requirements and position level. Because the state's labor market is smaller than coastal hubs, employers sometimes face a more straightforward PERM recruitment process, though timelines still depend on prevailing wage determinations and USCIS processing backlogs. Working with an immigration attorney familiar with Wisconsin employers is advisable.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
