Which consumer goods companies in Wisconsin sponsor Green Card visas?
Several established consumer goods employers in Wisconsin have a history of sponsoring permanent residency for skilled workers. SC Johnson in Racine, Kohler Co. in Kohler, Land O'Lakes operations in the state, and various food and beverage manufacturers in the Fox Valley region have filed Green Card petitions. Sponsorship decisions depend on the specific role, business need, and whether the position qualifies under EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most consumer goods Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Racine and Kenosha in southeastern Wisconsin concentrate significant consumer goods activity, anchored by SC Johnson's headquarters. The Fox Valley corridor, including Appleton and Green Bay, supports food processing and paper-based consumer product manufacturing. Milwaukee, as the state's largest city, attracts regional headquarters and distribution operations. Madison has a smaller but growing presence tied to health and wellness consumer brands.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles requiring specialized education or technical expertise are most commonly sponsored. These include chemical or mechanical engineers in product development, quality assurance managers, supply chain analysts, food scientists, regulatory affairs specialists, and senior operations managers. Positions that meet the specialty occupation standard for EB-2 or the skilled worker criteria for EB-3 are most commonly considered. General production or warehouse roles rarely qualify for employer-sponsored Green Card petitions.
How do I find consumer goods Green Card sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for employer-sponsored visa positions, including Green Card sponsorship in consumer goods. You can filter by Wisconsin, industry, and visa type to surface roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Because consumer goods sponsorship roles in Wisconsin are concentrated among a smaller number of established manufacturers, using a focused platform like Migrate Mate is more efficient than sorting through general job listings.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in consumer goods?
Wisconsin's consumer goods industry is heavily manufacturing-oriented, which affects the PERM labor market test that most EB-2 and EB-3 petitions require. Employers must demonstrate that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role, so positions with highly specialized technical requirements are easier to sponsor. Wisconsin does not have a state-level immigration program, so all Green Card sponsorship follows federal USCIS processes. Working with an employer's immigration counsel is standard practice for navigating PERM filings in this sector.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card consumer goods jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
