Which technology companies in Wisconsin sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
Wisconsin technology employers with documented H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity include Epic Systems in Verona, Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, and Fiserv in Milwaukee. Healthcare IT firms clustered around Madison and financial technology companies along the I-94 corridor between Milwaukee and Chicago also appear in DOL Labor Condition Application filings. Smaller software consultancies with federal contracts occasionally sponsor H-1B1 Chile workers for specialized engineering roles.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Madison leads Wisconsin for technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship, driven by Epic Systems and the University of Wisconsin research ecosystem that feeds healthcare IT demand. Milwaukee ranks second, with concentrations in financial technology, industrial automation software, and managed services. Green Bay and Appleton have smaller but active markets in manufacturing technology and enterprise software, particularly among companies supplying the state's paper and packaging industries.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related technical field qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B1 Chile rules. In Wisconsin, qualifying positions commonly include software engineers, data analysts, cloud infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and EHR implementation specialists. Roles at Epic Systems tied to healthcare interoperability and those supporting Rockwell Automation's industrial control software have consistent H-1B1 Chile filing histories with the DOL.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters technology job listings specifically by H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history, showing Wisconsin employers with verified DOL Labor Condition Application filings for Chilean nationals. This lets you focus on software engineering, data, and IT roles at companies that have already navigated H-1B1 Chile paperwork, rather than applying broadly and discovering sponsorship availability only after an offer. Migrate Mate's search covers both Madison's healthcare IT sector and Milwaukee's financial technology employers.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile technology sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal DOL and USCIS rules. However, technology employers in Wisconsin's dominant sectors, including healthcare IT and industrial automation, often require security clearance eligibility or HIPAA compliance familiarity, which can affect how quickly sponsorship paperwork progresses. Companies near the University of Wisconsin campuses in Madison and Milwaukee are generally more experienced with international hiring processes than employers in smaller markets.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile technology jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
