Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Wisconsin?
Milwaukee-based financial firms are the primary sponsors in Wisconsin. Northwestern Mutual, Robert W. Baird, and Fidelity & Guaranty Life have filed Labor Condition Applications for finance and investment roles. Larger asset servicers and insurance-adjacent investment arms in the greater Milwaukee metro tend to have established sponsorship processes, while smaller registered investment advisers in the state sponsor on a more case-by-case basis.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the majority of investment management sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services headquarters and regional offices. Madison has a smaller but active presence, particularly around institutional investment roles tied to the University of Wisconsin system's endowment operations and state pension fund activity. Green Bay and Appleton see occasional openings at regional wealth management and trust companies.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify under the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation standard include portfolio analyst, equity research associate, risk analyst, fund accountant, quantitative analyst, and investment compliance officer. Each position must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics. Generalist roles where no specific degree field is required typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by H-1B1 Singapore visa type, investment management industry, and Wisconsin location to see employers with verified LCA filing history in the state. Because the H-1B visa1 is a less commonly filed category than the standard H-1B, searching a platform that surfaces actual DOL filing data is more reliable than general job boards that may not distinguish between visa sponsorship types.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level licensing requirements that affect the H-1B1 petition itself, but investment management roles involving securities advice may require FINRA licensing independent of visa status. Employers in Wisconsin are subject to the same federal prevailing wage obligations as elsewhere, the wage offered must meet the DOL-determined prevailing wage for the occupation and location, which you can verify using the OFLC Wage Search tool before evaluating any offer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore investment management jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
