Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, scheduled to work Monday through Friday with core business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The role is hybrid with a regular need to work onsite in Madison, WI to support organizational priorities. Off hours availability may be required.

As a trusted resource for escalations, you will build trust, provide clear guidance on complex financial matters, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and develop a team of skilled financial counseling professionals.
- Support staff in navigating complex patient situations involving financial responsibility, insurance coverage, eligibility, and access to care.
- Serve as a resource for sensitive patient and stakeholder escalations, ensuring concerns are handled with empathy and professionalism.
- Translate complex financial, regulatory, and operational information into clear, actionable guidance.
- Partner with leaders to improve processes, operational performance, and the patient experience.

Qualifications
Healthcare revenue cycle, financial counseling, or reimbursement experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or a related field. Four (4) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience below.
Required Work Experience
- Five years of experience in a health care setting or three years of related experience in a leadership role.
- Five years of management experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations for a large, complex health care environment, including experience in an academic medical center.
Preferred
Experience with a hospital-based computer system (preferably Epic).
