Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for strategy directors?
Milwaukee-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for senior strategy roles include Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, Kohl's, and Advocate Aurora Health. In Madison, American Family Insurance and Epic Systems have also sponsored strategy-level positions. These organizations tend to have dedicated HR and immigration infrastructure, which makes sponsorship more feasible for senior individual contributors and directors.
Which visa types are most common for strategy director roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy director roles in Wisconsin, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may qualify for the O-1A. Multinationals transferring senior strategy staff internally sometimes use the L-1A for managerial and executive roles.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most strategy director sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 companies in financial services, insurance, and healthcare. Madison follows closely, with demand coming from health tech, government-adjacent consulting, and university-tied organizations. Green Bay has a smaller but active market in manufacturing and logistics strategy roles, particularly among regional consumer goods and food industry employers.
How to find strategy director visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify strategy director roles in Wisconsin where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using Migrate Mate to surface verified sponsorship opportunities saves significant research time compared to reviewing unfiltered general postings.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for strategy directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's Department of Workforce Development tracks prevailing wage data that feeds into H-1B Labor Condition Application requirements, so employers must benchmark compensation for strategy director roles against regional standards. The University of Wisconsin system produces a steady pipeline of MBA and business graduates, meaning employers in Madison and Milwaukee are already accustomed to navigating international candidate hiring, including sponsorship processes for senior roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy director jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
