Which companies sponsor visas for nursing assistants in Wyoming?
The most active sponsors for nursing assistant roles in Wyoming include Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Wyoming Medical Center, and Banner Health facilities. Long-term care operators such as Life Care Centers and regional nursing home groups also sponsor international workers, particularly through the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway, due to ongoing difficulty filling direct care positions in both urban centers and rural communities.
Which visa types are most common for nursing assistant roles in Wyoming?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for nursing assistants in Wyoming, as the role is classified under unskilled or other worker categories. Employers file a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor before petitioning for the EB-3. Some candidates also enter through the H-2B temporary nonimmigrant visa for seasonal or short-term placements, though the EB-3 is more widely used for permanent direct care positions.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most nursing assistant sponsorship jobs?
Cheyenne and Casper account for the largest share of nursing assistant openings in Wyoming, driven by their regional medical centers and concentration of skilled nursing facilities. Laramie, Gillette, and Rock Springs also see consistent demand, particularly in long-term care settings. Rural and frontier counties throughout the state often have the greatest staffing gaps, which can translate into stronger sponsorship willingness among smaller employers.
How to find nursing assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including nursing assistant positions in Wyoming. You can filter job listings by state and role to see which Wyoming employers are actively sponsoring. Because nursing assistant sponsorship often runs through EB-3 and requires PERM filings, it helps to target employers with a documented history of sponsoring international healthcare workers in the state.
Are there state-specific requirements for nursing assistants seeking sponsorship in Wyoming?
Wyoming requires nursing assistants to hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant credential through the Wyoming State Board of Nursing before practicing. International candidates pursuing employer sponsorship should plan to complete state CNA certification, which involves a written exam and skills evaluation. Employers initiating PERM-based sponsorship must demonstrate they advertised the position locally first, so candidates already certified and present in the U.S. may move through the process more efficiently.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing assistant jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
