Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding CRT Jobs
Target specialized CRT positions
Focus on roles requiring specialized certifications like respiratory therapy, cardiac catheterization, or critical care transport. These specialized positions strengthen H-1B specialty occupation arguments compared to general technician roles.
Emphasize clinical decision-making responsibilities
Highlight roles involving patient assessment, treatment planning, or protocol development. USCIS values positions requiring independent clinical judgment over purely technical or routine procedural work.
Research healthcare employers with H-1B history
Major hospital systems and medical centers frequently sponsor visas for specialized healthcare roles. Check DOL disclosure data to identify employers with successful CRT sponsorship patterns.
Document specialized training requirements
Gather evidence showing the position requires specific certifications, advanced training programs, or specialized medical knowledge that goes beyond basic technical skills or on-the-job training.
Consider related healthcare pathways
Explore adjacent roles like respiratory therapist, cardiovascular technologist, or medical imaging specialist. These related positions may offer stronger sponsorship opportunities with similar skill requirements.
Prepare for degree relevance scrutiny
Be ready to demonstrate how your educational background directly relates to the CRT position's clinical responsibilities. USCIS closely examines the degree-to-role connection in healthcare technical positions.

Find CRT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Do CRT positions qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, but qualification depends on the specific role and requirements. Specialized CRT positions involving clinical assessment, advanced medical procedures, or requiring specialized certifications are more likely to qualify as specialty occupations. Basic technician roles performing routine tasks may face stronger USCIS scrutiny regarding specialty occupation requirements.
How to find CRT jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find CRT jobs with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting international professionals with sponsoring employers. Focus on hospitals, imaging centers, and healthcare systems that commonly sponsor H-1B and other work visas for certified radiologic technologists. These employers often have established sponsorship programs and understand the visa requirements for healthcare professionals.
What degree is required for CRT visa sponsorship?
Most CRT positions require a bachelor's degree in a health-related field such as respiratory therapy, cardiovascular technology, or clinical sciences. Some employers may accept associate degrees combined with specialized certifications and relevant experience, though bachelor's degrees provide stronger H-1B petition support.
Which healthcare employers sponsor CRT workers?
Large hospital systems, academic medical centers, and specialized cardiac facilities most commonly sponsor CRT workers for H-1B visas. Major employers include university hospitals, multi-location healthcare networks, and facilities performing complex cardiac procedures requiring specialized technical expertise and patient care coordination.
What certifications strengthen CRT sponsorship applications?
Specialized certifications like Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT), or advanced cardiac life support credentials strengthen visa petitions. These demonstrate the specialized knowledge and training that supports the specialty occupation argument required for H-1B approval.
How do CRT approval rates compare to other healthcare roles?
CRT H-1B approval rates vary significantly based on role specialization and employer petition quality. Highly specialized positions with clear clinical responsibilities typically see higher approval rates, while general technician roles may face more scrutiny. Healthcare employers with established sponsorship programs generally achieve better outcomes.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored CRT jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
