Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Enterprise Sales Manager
Target SaaS and enterprise software employers first
Technology companies selling complex software to large businesses sponsor Enterprise Sales Managers at higher rates than other industries. These employers have established HR and legal processes for H-1B petitions, making the sponsorship conversation significantly smoother from the start.
Frame your degree as a specialty occupation qualifier
USCIS requires that the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A business, marketing, or finance degree paired with enterprise sales experience strengthens the specialty occupation argument considerably and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
Highlight measurable revenue impact in your application
Employers sponsoring a visa need to justify the cost and effort internally. Quantified wins, such as closed contract values and retention rates across named accounts, make it easier for hiring managers to build a business case for sponsorship to leadership and legal teams.
Bring up sponsorship after demonstrating clear value
Raise the visa conversation after a technical screen or second interview, not in your cover letter. Enterprise sales roles are competitive, and employers are far more willing to discuss sponsorship logistics once they see you as a strong candidate worth the investment.
Understand the H-1B cap and lottery timing
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with registration opening in March. If you need sponsorship, time your job search to align with this window. Cap-exempt employers, including universities and nonprofits, can file outside this timeline entirely.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Not every company that posts an Enterprise Sales Manager role will sponsor visas. Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for employers with a documented history of sponsorship, saving you from applying to companies that will decline the conversation before it starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Enterprise Sales Managers get H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, Enterprise Sales Manager roles can qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship under the specialty occupation classification, provided the employer requires a specific bachelor's degree for the position. Technology and SaaS companies sponsor this role most frequently. The key is demonstrating that the job requires theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge, which a well-structured job description and strong educational background can support.
What degree do I need for an Enterprise Sales Manager visa sponsorship?
Most successful H-1B petitions for Enterprise Sales Manager roles cite a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field. A general business degree typically works when paired with relevant sales experience. If your degree is in an unrelated field, immigration attorneys sometimes argue equivalency through progressive work experience, though this creates additional complexity and the risk of a Request for Evidence from USCIS.
How likely is USCIS to approve an H-1B for a sales management role?
Approval rates are generally solid when the petition is structured carefully. USCIS scrutinizes sales roles more than engineering roles because the specialty occupation argument requires more documentation. Employers who define the role with specific technical product knowledge requirements and tie the degree requirement explicitly to job duties see stronger approval outcomes. Working with an experienced immigration attorney to draft the Labor Condition Application and petition support letter makes a meaningful difference.
Do Enterprise Sales Manager roles qualify for O-1 visa sponsorship?
The O-1A visa is an option for Enterprise Sales Managers who can demonstrate extraordinary ability in their field. This typically requires documented evidence such as high compensation relative to peers, press coverage, judging or speaking at industry events, or leading sales organizations with significant revenue impact. It is a harder standard to meet than H-1B but bypasses the lottery entirely, which makes it worth exploring if you have a strong track record.
Where can I find Enterprise Sales Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. Standard job boards mix sponsoring and non-sponsoring employers with no easy way to filter, which wastes significant time during an already stressful job search. Migrate Mate surfaces Enterprise Sales Manager roles from employers who have a verified sponsorship track record, so you can focus your applications on companies that will actually engage with the visa conversation rather than those that will decline at the offer stage.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Enterprise Sales Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
