How to Get Visa Sponsorship as an ERP Business Analyst
Target large enterprise employers first
Companies running SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics at scale, in healthcare systems, financial services, and manufacturing, sponsor ERP Business Analysts regularly and have established immigration programs with dedicated HR support for visa filings.
Emphasize your ERP platform specialization
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims closely. Highlighting deep expertise in a specific ERP system, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, or Workday, strengthens the argument that your role requires highly specialized knowledge, not general business analysis skills.
Match your degree to the role description
Sponsors need your degree field to align with the position. Information systems, computer science, or business information technology degrees map most cleanly. A general business degree may require supplemental documentation to satisfy the specialty occupation requirement.
Get your offer letter to specify ERP requirements
The job description in your offer letter directly supports the H-1B petition. Ensure it explicitly references the ERP platform, technical configuration responsibilities, and the required degree field, vague descriptions are a common source of USCIS requests for evidence.
Understand the H-1B cap lottery timeline
H-1B registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're not selected, explore cap-exempt employers such as universities and nonprofit research organizations, which can file H-1B petitions year-round without waiting for lottery results.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Not every employer who posts an ERP Business Analyst role will sponsor a visa. Migrate Mate filters for employers with active sponsorship history, saving you the time of applying to roles where sponsorship was never a realistic option.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does an ERP Business Analyst role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS evaluates whether the role normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. ERP Business Analyst positions that require knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms generally qualify, particularly when the job description specifies a degree in information systems, computer science, or business administration rather than any bachelor's degree broadly.
Which visa types do ERP Business Analysts most commonly get sponsored for?
The H-1B is the most common sponsorship path. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories, typically as management consultants or computer systems analysts. Australians can apply for the E-3. L-1B intracompany transfer visas are also used when the analyst is transferring from a foreign office of the same multinational employer.
Does my degree field matter for ERP Business Analyst sponsorship?
It matters significantly. The H-1B specialty occupation standard requires that the degree field be directly related to the role. Information systems, computer science, and business information technology degrees are the strongest fit. A general business or liberal arts degree may still work if you can demonstrate that the employer's own job postings consistently require a specific technical field, but it introduces additional documentation risk.
How competitive is the H-1B lottery for ERP Business Analyst roles?
Selection is based purely on random lottery, not occupation. In recent years, USCIS received over 400,000 registrations for roughly 85,000 available slots, putting the selection rate around 20 to 25 percent. If not selected, some ERP analysts pursue cap-exempt routes through universities or nonprofits, or explore O-1A sponsorship if their career record supports an extraordinary ability argument.
How do I find employers who actually sponsor ERP Business Analyst visas?
ERP sponsorship is concentrated in large enterprises, healthcare networks, financial institutions, and manufacturers running complex ERP implementations at scale. Smaller firms often lack the legal infrastructure to sponsor. Migrate Mate lists ERP Business Analyst roles from employers with verified sponsorship activity, so you can focus your applications where visa support is a realistic part of the hiring process.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Erp Business Analyst jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
