INTRODUCTION
The world is moving towards instant digital payments and TabaPay is leading the way. We help thousands of Fintechs in the US and Canada instantly move money in and out of accounts and we are actively expanding into other countries. Our customers represent the hottest verticals in the financial service industry such as neobanks, challenger brokers, gaming and wallets. TabaPay is a highly profitable rocketship that processes billions of dollars each year.
We believe everyone deserves access to their money when they need it. We serve some of the most innovative companies in financial services — from fintechs and lenders to gaming platforms and digital banks — often in underserved or rapidly evolving markets where payments are mission-critical. Customers expect instant access to their money. Whether it’s a worker whose car breaks down on the way to work or a parent buying groceries before payday, timing is critical. But delivering that experience is hard, and demands a balance of speed, reliability, cost, and fraud. Built by pioneers of real-time payments, TabaPay solves the hardest money movement challenges for companies operating in complex, regulated environments. By combining direct network connections, 19+ sponsor banks, and integrated risk and compliance tools into a single API, our customers see higher success rates, lower fraud, and more control over how money moves. We’re on pace to process over $100 billion in payments annually and power some of the fastest-growing companies in financial services, including Dave, Klarna, SoFi, and ADP. If you’ve used a leading fintech app, there’s a good chance you’ve already used TabaPay without realizing it.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a Partnerships & Events Marketing Manager to own and scale one of our most important growth channels — partnerships. Think of yourself as the GM of the partnership channel, responsible for driving pipeline, expanding reach, and deepening engagement across our partner ecosystem. We already have a formula for success, since partnerships drive ~90% of our lead volume! This role is about unlocking the next phase of growth.
What you’ll do:
-
Drive partnership growth: Own and expand marketing activations with key partners including Visa, Mastercard, sponsor banks, ISOs, and referral partners. Identify new opportunities to generate pipeline and reinforce partnerships as a scalable, repeatable growth channel.
-
Lead events & experiences: Plan and execute high-impact co-marketing experiences such as executive dinners, conference activations, and partner events. Use events strategically to generate pipeline, deepen relationships, and support expansion into new verticals.
-
Enable partners: Create and deliver training and enablement programs to ensure partner teams can effectively position and sell TabaPay. That means creating the right mix of messaging, use cases, and materials.
-
Build co-marketing programs: Develop and execute joint campaigns with partners, including paid marketing, industry reports, webinars, social content, and more. Leverage partner distribution channels to expand reach and drive demand.
-
Own strategy & execution: Manage campaigns end-to-end, including planning, execution, performance tracking, and budget management. Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, and legal to ensure alignment and drive results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Who you are:
-
Growth-minded operator: You proactively identify opportunities to drive pipeline and expand partnerships, and you’re motivated by measurable impact. You think like an owner and are focused on outcomes, not just activity.
-
Strong relationship builder: You’re comfortable working with external partners and know how to build trust, influence, and drive joint execution across multiple stakeholders.
-
Strategic + hands-on: You can connect high-level strategy to execution —whether you’re shaping a co-marketing plan, launching a campaign, or running an event end-to-end.
-
Excellent communicator: You’re a clear and compelling communicator when writing and speaking and can create messaging, content, and presentations that resonate with partners and internal teams.
-
Highly organized and detail-oriented: You can manage multiple campaigns, partners, and timelines simultaneously without losing attention to detail, and you know how to prioritize what matters most.
-
Flexible, creative mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while moving work forward.
-
Relevant experience: You have 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, partnerships, or business development, ideally in fintech, payments, or B2B environments.
COMPENSATION
The annual base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for a performance-based bonus in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
-
Bay Area, CA / New York, NY: $90,000-$100,000
-
Remote US: $70,000-$90,000
BENEFITS
TabaPay offers the following benefits:

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Event Marketing Manager
Frame your degree as a requirement, not a preference
Employers must prove the role requires a specific bachelor's degree for H-1B approval. If your offer letter says 'preferred,' ask HR to revise it to 'required', this directly affects whether USCIS approves the specialty occupation classification.
Target employers with event budgets large enough to justify legal costs
Sponsorship involves LCA filing, attorney fees, and USCIS petition costs. Larger corporations, agencies, and conference-driven industries like tech, pharma, and finance are far more likely to absorb those costs than small event boutiques.
Document your campaign metrics before interviews
Quantified results, attendance figures, lead generation numbers, ROI percentages, strengthen both your job application and any future O-1 extraordinary ability petition, which requires demonstrated impact in your field.
Understand that your LCA wage level matters
Your employer files an LCA certifying your wage meets the prevailing wage for Event Marketing Manager roles in that city. If you're offered below the Department of Labor's prevailing wage, the LCA will be rejected before USCIS even sees your petition.
Cap-exempt employers can sponsor you year-round
Universities, nonprofits, and research institutions are exempt from the H-1B lottery. Event marketing roles at these organizations can be filed any time of year, bypassing the annual April lottery that limits most corporate sponsorship timelines.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsoring employers
Not every company advertising event marketing roles will sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with documented sponsorship history, so you're applying to companies that have already demonstrated willingness to file petitions for international candidates.

Find Event Marketing Manager JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Event Marketing Manager qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B?
It can, but it's not automatic. USCIS requires proof that the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like marketing, communications, or business. Generic event coordination roles have faced RFEs. The stronger the employer's job description ties duties to specialized degree knowledge, campaign strategy, integrated marketing, analytics, the more defensible the petition.
Which visa types are most realistic for an Event Marketing Manager seeking sponsorship?
H-1B is the most common path, assuming the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. O-1A is an option for candidates with documented awards, press coverage, or high-impact campaigns demonstrating extraordinary ability. TN visas cover marketing roles for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA. E-3 visas are available for Australian nationals in qualifying marketing positions.
What degree does an employer need to specify for H-1B sponsorship in this role?
USCIS wants to see that a bachelor's degree in a specific field, marketing, communications, advertising, or business with a marketing concentration, is required, not just preferred. A general business degree may weaken the petition. If your background is in a tangentially related field, an immigration attorney can build an equivalency argument using coursework and experience.
How competitive is H-1B sponsorship for event marketing roles, and what are my chances?
The H-1B lottery applies to all cap-subject petitions regardless of job title. In recent years, selection rates have hovered around 20 to 25 percent for general cap registrations. Your role qualification matters less for the lottery than for USCIS approval after selection. Improving your odds means registering with multiple qualifying employers if possible, or targeting cap-exempt institutions.
Where can I find Event Marketing Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists event marketing roles from employers with verified sponsorship histories, so you're not guessing which companies will actually file. Filter by visa type to find roles compatible with your status, H-1B, O-1, TN, or E-3, and prioritize companies in industries like tech, pharmaceuticals, and financial services that have consistent LCA filing records for marketing positions.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Event Marketing Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
