INTRODUCTION
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but most providers don't accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway’s mission is to fix this by building a new mental healthcare system everyone can access. We started by solving the biggest barrier to care: insurance. The admin work - credentialing, claims, payment reconciliation - is a nightmare. We've automated that. But we're going further. Over 75,000 providers across all 50 states run their practice on our software, serving over 1 million patients. We are building the best tools for therapists to run their entire practice, reimagining the experience of finding a therapist, and investing in the platform foundations to enable this at scale. We aren't just a billing layer; we are becoming the platform where care actually happens. We're a Series D company with $325M+ in funding (a16z, Accel, Spark Capital, etc.), looking for exceptional people to help us achieve this mission. We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Headway's Care Partnerships team is on a mission to become the behavioral health partner of choice for every health system in the US. We make it easy for care management, social work, and clinical teams to refer their patients into high-quality outpatient behavioral health care — and we're growing fast. We recently proved that cold outbound is a powerful, scalable channel for generating new health system partnerships. Now we're building a dedicated Growth Associate team to fuel that growth. As a Growth Associate, Care Partnerships, you'll be the tip of the spear — running high-volume outbound outreach to connect with care management leaders at health systems across the country and booking the meetings that drive our pipeline. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build a function that didn't exist six months ago and is already producing results.
YOU WILL
- Drive top-of-funnel pipeline for the Care Partnerships BD team through high-volume cold outbound across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Book qualified intro meetings with care management leaders at health systems across the country
- Qualify prospects against our ideal customer profile and ensure clean handoffs to the BD team with full context
- Build and maintain target contact lists across your assigned territories
- Collaborate with your manager and BD teammates to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategy
- Document and share learnings on personas, objection handling, and conversion performance to strengthen the team's playbook
YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE IF
- You have 1+ year of experience in a high-volume outbound role (BDR, SDR, inside sales) and can point to a track record of hitting activity and meeting targets
- You are comfortable — and energized by — cold calling as your primary channel
- You are coachable: you actively seek feedback, incorporate it fast, and iterate on your approach
- You are resilient and competitive — rejection doesn't slow you down, it fuels you
- You are organized and disciplined about logging activity and outcomes in real time
- You communicate clearly and concisely — you can earn a busy executive's attention in 30 seconds and convert it to a meeting
- You are motivated by the opportunity to help solve one of our generation's defining problems: access to mental healthcare
BONUS POINTS IF
- You have experience in healthcare, health tech, or selling into health systems
- You have familiarity with multi-touch outbound sequencing tools
- You've worked in a fast-growing startup environment

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Growth Associate
Confirm your degree aligns with the role
Growth Associate positions typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a related field. Make sure your degree field directly maps to the job description, not just the industry, to satisfy specialty occupation requirements.
Target companies with prior sponsorship history
Tech and SaaS companies that have sponsored H-1B or E-3 workers before move fastest through the process. USCIS LCA disclosure data shows consistent filers like these carry fewer delays and fewer requests for evidence on standard sponsorship cases.
Get the job description framed correctly
Growth Associate roles can be denied if the posting looks like a generalist marketing job. Ask your employer to emphasize quantitative skills, analytics tools, and data-driven responsibilities, which strengthen the specialty occupation argument significantly.
Australians should ask about E-3 specifically
If you hold an Australian passport, the E-3 visa is faster and simpler than H-1B for this role. There is no lottery, no annual cap pressure, and your employer can file an LCA within days of extending an offer.
Ask about premium processing upfront
Premium processing gets your H-1B petition adjudicated within 15 business days instead of several months. For Growth Associate roles starting on a fixed date, this is worth raising with your employer during the offer negotiation stage.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Not every company will state visa sponsorship in a job posting. Migrate Mate filters Growth Associate listings by employers who have actively sponsored before, saving you from applying to companies unlikely to move forward with your application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Growth Associate role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
It depends on how the role is defined. Growth Associate positions qualify when they require a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as marketing, business analytics, or statistics, and when the job duties are sufficiently specialized. Generalist roles where any degree field is acceptable are harder to approve. Employers who frame the position around data analysis, A/B testing, and growth modeling have a stronger case with USCIS.
What visa types do employers typically use to sponsor Growth Associates?
H-1B visa is the most common sponsorship path for Growth Associates in the U.S. Australian citizens are often sponsored on E-3 visas instead, which skip the lottery entirely and can be processed in a matter of weeks. Some early-stage startups also explore O-1 visa sponsorship for candidates with a strong record of measurable impact, though this is less common for this role level.
Do I need a specific degree to get sponsored as a Growth Associate?
Yes. For H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, your degree must relate directly to the job's core functions. A bachelor's in marketing, business administration, economics, statistics, or data science all map well to Growth Associate duties. A degree in an unrelated field, like fine arts or history, makes specialty occupation approval significantly harder unless you have substantial directly relevant work experience to compensate.
How likely is my Growth Associate H-1B petition to get approved?
USCIS has issued Requests for Evidence on marketing and business roles more frequently in recent years, particularly when job duties look interchangeable with general business operations. Petitions that emphasize quantitative responsibilities, proprietary tools, and analytical depth fare better. Employers with experienced immigration counsel and a clean sponsorship track record tend to see higher approval rates. Your specific employer's history matters as much as your credentials.
Where can I find Growth Associate jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this. You can browse Growth Associate listings filtered by employers who have a documented history of H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, so you are not wasting applications on companies that will decline once they see your visa status. Most sponsoring employers in this space are growth-stage tech companies or established SaaS businesses with structured immigration support processes already in place.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Growth Associate jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
