Target supply chain technology roles
Focus on positions involving WMS, TMS, or ERP systems. Roles requiring specialized software knowledge or data analytics strengthen your H-1B specialty occupation case significantly.

Research multinational companies
Large corporations with global supply chains often sponsor logistics specialists. They typically have established immigration processes and understand the strategic value of logistics expertise.
Consider manufacturing and retail sectors
Companies in automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce frequently sponsor logistics roles. These industries rely heavily on complex supply chain management requiring specialized knowledge.
Highlight relevant certifications
APICS, CSCMP, or Six Sigma certifications strengthen your profile. They demonstrate specialized knowledge beyond general logistics experience and support specialty occupation requirements.

Find Logistics Specialist JobsFrequently Asked Questions
What degree do I need for logistics specialist H-1B sponsorship?
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering, or operations research typically qualifies. Some employers accept related fields like mathematics or economics if combined with relevant logistics experience. The key is demonstrating how your education relates to specialized supply chain management functions.
Do logistics specialist roles qualify as specialty occupations?
Yes, when the position requires specialized knowledge in areas like supply chain optimization, inventory management systems, transportation analytics, or logistics technology. Roles focusing on data analysis, process improvement, or complex system management typically meet H-1B specialty occupation requirements better than basic warehouse coordination positions.
Which industries sponsor logistics specialists most frequently?
Manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, automotive, and technology companies frequently sponsor logistics specialists. E-commerce companies like Amazon, traditional retailers like Walmart, and manufacturers with complex supply chains regularly file H-1B petitions for these roles. Third-party logistics providers also offer sponsorship opportunities.
Can I get sponsored for entry-level logistics positions?
Entry-level positions with analytical or technical components can qualify for sponsorship. Roles titled 'Logistics Analyst,' 'Supply Chain Coordinator,' or 'Inventory Specialist' focusing on data analysis, system optimization, or process improvement are more likely to receive approval than basic warehouse or shipping clerk positions.
What's the approval rate for logistics specialist H-1B petitions?
H-1B approval rates for logistics specialists vary by role complexity and employer documentation. Positions emphasizing analytical work, system management, or specialized knowledge typically see higher approval rates. The key is demonstrating that the role requires theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge rather than routine logistics tasks.
How to find Logistics Specialist jobs with visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to find Logistics Specialist positions with visa sponsorship from freight companies, manufacturers, and e-commerce businesses. These roles often qualify for H-1B, L-1, or TN visas depending on your background. Focus on supply chain companies, shipping firms, and retail giants that regularly sponsor international talent for logistics coordination, warehouse management, and distribution planning positions.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Logistics Specialist jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
