Target specialized manufacturing environments
Focus on aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturers where parts management requires technical expertise and regulatory compliance knowledge rather than general retail inventory positions.
Emphasize systems and analytical skills
Highlight experience with ERP systems, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization. These technical competencies help distinguish the role as requiring specialized knowledge for H-1B qualification.
Consider hybrid logistics roles
Pursue positions combining parts management with supply chain analysis, vendor relations, or quality control. Multi-functional roles more easily demonstrate the complexity needed for visa sponsorship.
Research dealership networks with visa history
Large automotive dealership groups and equipment manufacturers often have established H-1B programs. Check DOL disclosure data to identify companies with successful sponsorship track records.
Document technical certifications
Obtain certifications in inventory management software, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma. These credentials support the argument that your role requires specialized training and expertise.
Frame degree relevance clearly
Connect your business, logistics, or engineering degree to specific job functions like demand planning, vendor negotiations, or regulatory compliance rather than basic inventory tasks.

Find Parts Clerk JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Can a parts clerk get H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, but the role must require specialized knowledge and a bachelor's degree. Basic inventory positions rarely qualify, but parts management roles in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, or medical devices that involve technical expertise, regulatory compliance, and complex supply chain systems can meet H-1B specialty occupation requirements.
What degree do I need for parts clerk H-1B sponsorship?
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, industrial engineering, or a field directly related to the industry is typically required. The degree must be specifically relevant to the technical aspects of parts management, not just general business knowledge.
Do parts clerk roles qualify as specialty occupations?
It depends on the complexity and technical requirements. Basic warehouse inventory positions don't qualify, but roles involving ERP system management, regulatory compliance, technical parts specification, demand forecasting, or vendor relationship management in specialized industries can meet the specialty occupation standard.
Which companies sponsor H-1B visas for parts clerks?
Large automotive manufacturers, aerospace companies, medical device firms, and major dealership networks are most likely to sponsor H-1B visas for parts management roles. These employers often have established visa programs and positions requiring specialized technical knowledge of their products and supply chains.
What's the approval rate for parts clerk H-1B petitions?
USCIS doesn't publish occupation-specific approval rates, but logistics and supply chain roles face scrutiny over specialty occupation requirements. Success depends on demonstrating the technical complexity of the position, degree requirements, and specialized knowledge needed rather than basic inventory management tasks.
How to find Parts Clerk jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find Parts Clerk jobs with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting international candidates with sponsoring employers. Focus your search on automotive dealerships, manufacturing companies, and heavy machinery distributors, as these industries frequently hire Parts Clerks and offer H-1B, TN, or other work visas. Filter specifically for positions that mention visa support or international candidates welcome.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Parts Clerk jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
