Sterile Processing Technicians 2 Job Responsibilities:
- The Sterile Processing Tech 2 decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Assembles instrumentation accurately and efficiently and ensures sterility of all processed items.
- Maintains instruments inventory and ensures timely distribution of instruments to all customers. Prioritizes instruments and assembles complex trays.
- Assumes a leadership role within the department.
- Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas/procedures.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: One-year Sterile Processing experience required.
- Certification: CRCST or CBSPD certification from The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required upon start.
