Administrative Assistant Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a administrative assistant job in Denver?
Focus your search on Denver's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare systems anchored along the Colorado Boulevard corridor, state and federal agencies concentrated downtown near the Capitol, and professional services firms clustered in Cherry Creek and the Denver Tech Center. Candidates who can demonstrate proficiency in scheduling software, document management, and multi-line phone systems move faster through Denver hiring pipelines. Tailoring your resume to the specific sector, whether medical, legal, or corporate, gives you a concrete edge in this market.
Which companies hire administrative assistants in Denver?
Employers hiring administrative assistants in Denver right now include Burns & McDonnell, State of Colorado, and City and County of Denver, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Denver's mix of large hospital networks, energy companies, government contractors, and regional law firms means demand comes from a broad range of employer types throughout the metro.
Are there remote administrative assistant jobs in Denver?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on role type. Administrative assistant work tied to physical office operations, front-desk coordination, or in-person executive support is rarely fully remote, while roles focused on scheduling, data entry, and correspondence management are more commonly hybrid. About 50% of administrative assistant openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest concentration of flexible arrangements found in Denver's technology and financial services firms in the Denver Tech Center.
How can I get a administrative assistant job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is targeting temp-to-hire roles through the staffing agencies that actively place candidates with downtown law firms, the Denver Health system, and state government offices. Entry-level titles like office coordinator, receptionist, or department clerk frequently serve as the on-ramp to full administrative assistant positions. Community College of Denver's office technology programs are recognized by local employers and can strengthen an application. Highlighting any experience with calendaring tools, Microsoft Office, or customer-facing work accelerates hiring decisions at Denver employer types that promote from within.
Which industries hire the most administrative assistants in Denver?
Most administrative assistant openings in Denver sit in Education and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Denver's role as a regional hub for healthcare delivery, state and federal government operations, and energy sector headquarters drives consistent, year-round demand across those industries.
