Entry Level Advanced Practice Provider Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level advanced practice provider job?
Start by highlighting clinical rotations, preceptorships, and any internship experience on your resume, since entry level employers weigh hands-on training heavily at this stage. Obtain the required state licensure and national board certification for your specialty before applying. Targeting hospitals, large group practices, and federally qualified health centers often yields the best results, as these organizations frequently build onboarding programs designed for new graduates.
Which companies hire entry level advanced practice providers?
Companies hiring entry level advanced practice providers right now include OSF HealthCare, WellSpan Health, and University of Texas Medical Branch, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Health systems, multi-specialty group practices, urgent care networks, and federally qualified health centers are among the most active employers at this experience level.
Are there remote entry level advanced practice provider jobs?
Yes, though most advanced practice provider roles require in-person patient contact. About 6% of entry level advanced practice provider openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve telehealth services, chronic disease management, or behavioral health, where direct physical examination is less central to daily work.
Are these new grad advanced practice provider jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior advanced practice provider roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or preceptorship hours toward requirements, or explicitly invites candidates without prior independent practice history. Checking the experience language in each posting is the clearest signal.
Which industries hire the most entry level advanced practice providers?
Entry Level advanced practice provider roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on mid-level clinicians to expand patient access and manage caseloads that physicians alone cannot absorb.
