Analyst Intern Jobs in Illinois: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a analyst intern in Illinois?
Most analyst intern roles in Illinois require current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in finance, economics, business analytics, or a related field. Illinois has no state-issued license for analyst interns, so hiring decisions rest on academic standing, relevant coursework, and demonstrated skills in tools like Excel or SQL. Candidates who complete relevant coursework at Illinois universities and build a project portfolio are consistently competitive for internship cohorts.
Which companies hire analyst interns in Illinois?
Illinois analyst intern roles are posted by US Foods, State Farm, and Martin Brower and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Illinois's deep concentration of corporate headquarters, financial firms, and management consulting offices in and around Chicago means a wide range of industries actively recruit analyst interns each semester.
Which Illinois cities have the most analyst intern jobs?
Chicago, Rosemont, and Bloomington have the most analyst intern openings in Illinois. Chicago drives the bulk of demand through its dense cluster of financial services firms, management consultancies, and corporate headquarters, while suburban hubs like Schaumburg and Downers Grove contribute openings from large regional operations and Fortune 500 back-office centers.
Are there remote analyst intern jobs in Illinois?
Yes, and more than many fields. About 100% of analyst intern openings tied to Illinois are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. Financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis tasks are the most likely to be performed fully remotely, while roles involving direct team collaboration or client-facing work tend to require at least some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a analyst intern in Illinois with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured summer internship programs at large Illinois employers like Morningstar, Aon, or Northern Trust, which recruit directly from Illinois universities and explicitly target candidates with limited prior experience. Building a portfolio of personal or class-based data projects in Excel, Python, or Tableau gives candidates a concrete edge. Adjacent roles such as research assistant, financial operations associate, or junior data coordinator at Chicago-area firms also serve as common stepping stones into a formal analyst intern position.
Where can I find and apply to analyst intern jobs in Illinois?
You can find and apply to analyst intern jobs in Illinois on Migrate Mate, which lists current Illinois openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your skills and availability, and apply directly to each position that fits your background.
