Analyst Intern Jobs in Alabama: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a analyst intern in Alabama?
Analyst intern roles in Alabama do not require a state-issued license or exam, so the path runs through education and applied experience. Most Alabama employers expect candidates to be enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field at an Alabama university such as the University of Alabama, Auburn, or UAB. A strong GPA, relevant coursework in statistics or financial analysis, and a campus or company-sponsored internship application are the standard entry points.
Which companies hire analyst interns in Alabama?
Employers hiring analyst interns in Alabama right now include CVS Health, Republic Finance, and UAB Medicine, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Alabama's mix of large financial institutions, defense contractors, and utilities means analyst intern openings appear across a wider range of industries than in many comparable states.
Which Alabama cities have the most analyst intern jobs?
The cities with the most analyst intern openings in Alabama are Huntsville, Birmingham, and Mobile. Birmingham drives volume through its concentration of banking, insurance, and healthcare headquarters, Huntsville draws heavily from aerospace and defense firms tied to Redstone Arsenal, and Montgomery generates openings through state government agencies and regional financial services employers.
Are there remote analyst intern jobs in Alabama?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since analyst intern work is largely desk-based and output-driven. About 29% of analyst intern openings tied to Alabama are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed work. The tasks most often handled remotely include data cleaning, report building, and model maintenance, while client-facing presentations and team onboarding tend to stay on-site.
How can I get hired as a analyst intern in Alabama with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured summer or semester internship programs run by Alabama's large employers before graduating. Regions Financial, Alabama Power, and Protective Life each recruit directly from Alabama universities and consider candidates with no prior professional experience if they show relevant coursework and analytical aptitude. Building a portfolio of class projects, Excel models, or data visualizations and targeting campus recruiting events at UA, Auburn, and UAB gives candidates without experience a concrete edge over general applications.
Where can I find and apply to analyst intern jobs in Alabama?
