This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. From networking opportunities and real-world projects to community service events, Great Southern provides the incredible opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience.
Responsibilities may include:
- Gaining corporate experience and developing new skills through on-the-job training and exposure to preparation of financial statements, technical accounting research, and initiatives related to process improvements and automation.
- Assisting with the preparation, recording, and reviewing of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end close processes.
- Gathering and performing analysis on large amounts of data to provide insight and valuable information to the operations team to enable informed business decisions.
- Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
