Analytics Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a analytics manager in Tennessee?
Analytics manager roles in Tennessee do not require a state-issued license or board certification. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, data science, computer science, or business analytics, with a master's degree preferred at larger organizations like HCA Healthcare or FedEx. Candidates typically progress from analyst or senior analyst roles, building team leadership experience and proficiency in data platforms before stepping into management.
Which companies hire analytics managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring analytics managers in Tennessee right now include Oracle, FedEx, and Deloitte, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Tennessee's mix of major healthcare systems, global logistics companies, and large retail headquarters creates consistent demand for analytics managers with industry-specific domain knowledge.
Which Tennessee cities have the most analytics manager jobs?
Nashville, Knoxville, and Tennessee have the most analytics manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its dense concentration of healthcare systems, insurance companies, and corporate headquarters, while Memphis is driven by logistics and supply chain giants, and Knoxville's growth in manufacturing and university-affiliated research organizations has expanded analytics hiring in recent years.
Are there remote analytics manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 43% of analytics manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting the desk-based, data-platform-driven nature of the role. Strategic and reporting functions tend to be the most remote-eligible, while roles tied to on-site operations teams at logistics or manufacturing facilities are more likely to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a analytics manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a senior analyst role into a team lead position within a large Tennessee employer. HCA Healthcare and FedEx both run rotational and development programs that place early-career data professionals on analytics teams. Building a portfolio of end-to-end projects using tools like Tableau or Python, pairing it with a graduate certificate from the University of Tennessee or Vanderbilt, and targeting associate analytics manager or analytics lead postings puts candidates in a strong position without prior management titles.
Where can I find and apply to analytics manager jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to analytics manager jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
