Senior Project Architect / Project Architect
Help us Shape the Next Generation of Mixed-Use & Transit-Oriented Communities!
About Us
We are a growing real estate development company focused on creating exceptional mixed-use, multifamily, retail, transit-oriented, and placemaking projects that strengthen communities and stand the test of time.
Our philosophy is rooted in timeless design, thoughtful urbanism, disciplined execution, and long-term ownership. We believe successful development begins with great planning and architecture, not simply building projects, but creating walkable neighborhoods, vibrant public spaces, and lasting community value.
Unlike a traditional architectural practice, our design team works directly alongside the development team from project inception through construction. This integrated approach allows us to influence every aspect of a project's success, from site selection and entitlement to planning, architecture, construction, and long-term operations.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Project Architect to become a key member of our team and help establish the design standards, technical excellence, and collaborative culture that will define our company for years to come.

Architect Jobs in Maryland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a architect in Maryland?
To become a licensed architect in Maryland, you must earn an accredited professional degree in architecture, complete the required hours under the Architectural Experience Program, and pass all divisions of the Architect Registration Examination. Licensure is granted and overseen by the Maryland State Board of Architects. Candidates who hold a license in another state may apply for Maryland licensure by endorsement if they meet Maryland's standards.
How much do architects make in Maryland?
Architects in Maryland earn a median of about $114,550 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $68,320 for the lowest 10% to over $182,370 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire architects in Maryland?
Employers hiring architects in Maryland right now include Booz Allen Hamilton, Peraton, and DCCA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Maryland's mix of federal agencies, major university systems, and large commercial developers creates consistent demand across both public-sector firms and private design practices.
Which Maryland cities have the most architect jobs?
Bethesda, Baltimore, and Rockville have the most architect openings in Maryland. Baltimore anchors the market with its concentration of institutional clients, healthcare systems, and ongoing urban redevelopment, while the D.C.-area suburbs of Rockville, Bethesda, and College Park draw additional demand from federal contractors, government agencies, and university campus projects.
Are there remote architect jobs in Maryland?
Yes, but they're limited. Architecture is largely a site- and collaboration-dependent profession, so fully remote roles are uncommon. About 53% of architect openings tied to Maryland are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements more prevalent than fully remote. The portions of the work most suited to remote schedules include design development, documentation, and BIM modeling rather than site visits or client presentations.
How can I get hired as a architect in Maryland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an architectural intern or junior designer role at a mid-size Maryland firm while completing Architectural Experience Program hours toward licensure. Large institutional employers such as university system facilities departments and state government agencies in Annapolis regularly bring on graduates for entry-level project support roles. Building a focused portfolio of academic or freelance work and enrolling with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards to begin logging experience hours gives candidates a clear edge over those who wait until graduation.
Where can I find and apply to architect jobs in Maryland?
You can find and apply to architect jobs in Maryland on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
