We are a small, but fast-growing estate planning law firm in Madison County, Kentucky looking for an All-Star Salesperson (also called our Non-Attorney Salesperson) to ensure that the firm is always putting its best foot forward for potential new clients. The position will entail both sales and customer service responsibilities.
If you are not an all-star, and if you cannot discuss big price points and complex problems with maturity and sensitivity, please do not apply. If you don’t have the stomach to do some prospecting and extensive follow-up with prospects, please do not continue.
This position is only for all-star salespeople who can both sell legal services and cultivate new relationships to generate new leads. We provide training in what you need to know to best help our clients, and for the right person this will be a highly rewarding position personally, professionally, and financially.
We need a bright, creative, empathetic, and compassionate person who can convey the value of our services to potential clients and enhance our client experience. You will work closely with other members of the team to develop and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources. You will help us realize our vision of helping more people!
Our firm is committed to protection families from the loss of everything they own to the extreme cost of long-term care. We need someone who truly understands the firm’s vision and values.
This position will
- Conduct initial client consultations to sell legal services
- Oversee the smooth transition of new cases to the legal team
- Extensive follow up with potential new clients who have not yet retained us
- Maintain a tracking system to monitor leads, new clients, and referral sources
Our ideal candidate will:
- Discover the priorities, needs and values of the potential client
- Understand how to build a relationship with a person
- Show the ability to interact with different types of personalities
- Show empathy to potential clients and put them at ease during a difficult time
- Know how to close a sale by creating urgency and promoting value
- Can sell luxury, high dollar sevices
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both over the phone and in writing
- Think on their toes and not be discouraged when things don’t go as planned
- Be willing and able to quickly learn about new topics (like the estate planning system)
- Treat a call or meeting at 4:30 on a Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning
- Follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures
- Be a team player that consistently acts with respect and integrity
- Be tech savvy (we use Apple computers; specialized cloud-based software; and case management software)
Real life experience and a few “battle scars” providing empathy and understanding are assets. Experience overcoming a major obstacle in life and making an important change in your life so you know at your core that others can do it too, is a plus. Having used a lawyer in the past is a plus.
The salesperson doesn’t give legal advice, so legal experience is not required. Prior sales and customer service experience is required because we can teach you how a case moves through the system.
We are looking for a team player with the empathy, creativity, and organization to help us expand our business. The person we hire must bring a high level of energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude to work every day. We are BIG believers in the value of a team. If you prefer to be a “lone wolf,” this job is not for you. We are looking for individuals with fire and ambition, not excuse-making “clock-watchers” who will hide under their desk waiting to be told what to do all day long.
If you are the “high pressure” type who thinks sales is a macho game, please do not continue. We believe sales is a service we do for our prospects to help educate them and to help them think-through their options and make courageous decisions about their future. We really believe that even if we decide not to accept an engagement from a prospect, that every prospective new client should leave our office better off in some way than when they came in.
If you come from the school of thought that making a sale is all about what you can “get” from a prospect or what you can “talk them into” please do not apply. We believe in consultative selling where we help our prospective new clients make sense of their situation, weigh their options and make important and often painful decisions. We are into using the sale as the beginning of a long-term relationship with our prospective new clients. If you are interested in a career (we really think of it as more of a “calling”) that offers six-figure income opportunities, competitive benefits, loads of training and professional development to stay sharp, total transparency (another way of saying there’s nowhere to “hide”), and fuel for your soul because we’re really and truly helping people then please apply.
If you send us your application and follow all of the instructions, we will ask you to complete a survey and 2nd assessment, before meeting face-to-face. We do this to ensure that you can read, write, and think critically. If you do not wish to complete the next steps, please do not apply.
Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. Benefits include bonus opportunities, paid holidays, paid time off and health insurance coverage. If you are looking for a high-energy and positive team environment with lots of growth potential, then look no further.

Attorney Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a attorney in Kentucky?
To become a licensed attorney in Kentucky, you must earn a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, pass the Kentucky Bar Examination, and be admitted by the Kentucky Bar Association, which governs attorney licensure in the state. Applicants also complete a character and fitness review. Kentucky participates in the Uniform Bar Exam, so scores may be transferable from other UBE jurisdictions, though Kentucky Bar Association admission is still required to practice.
How much do attorneys make in Kentucky?
Attorneys in Kentucky earn a median of about $101,550 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,010 for the lowest 10% to over $187,180 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire attorneys in Kentucky?
Companies currently hiring attorneys in Kentucky include Commonwealth of Kentucky, Epic, and Morgan & Morgan, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kentucky's mix of large healthcare corporations, energy utilities, and state government agencies creates steady year-round demand for in-house and government counsel across multiple practice areas.
Which Kentucky cities have the most attorney jobs?
Louisville, Lexington, and Owensboro account for the largest share of attorney openings in Kentucky. Louisville anchors demand through its concentration of healthcare companies and financial institutions, Lexington draws from its university, healthcare, and equine industry base, and Frankfort generates consistent openings as the state capital and seat of Kentucky's executive and legislative agencies.
Are there remote attorney jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, but they're less common than in many other fields given that litigation, court appearances, and client-facing work often require in-person presence. About 17% of attorney openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting partial flexibility where it exists. Transactional work, contract review, compliance, and regulatory roles are the sub-areas most likely to offer remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a attorney in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a summer associate position or post-graduate fellowship leading to a first-year associate offer at a Louisville or Lexington law firm. The Kentucky Attorney General's Office and the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy both run structured programs for new graduates entering government and public-interest law. Law school clinics at the University of Kentucky or University of Louisville build the courtroom and client experience that Kentucky employers look for, and passing the Kentucky Bar Examination before or immediately after graduation gives candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to attorney jobs in Kentucky?
