Full-Time Estate Planning Attorney
About Us
DKMO Law is a long-established 16-attorney law firm located in downtown Arlington Heights. Our estate planning and probate trust administration department is a high-volume practice and we are seeking a full-time attorney to help serve our growing client base.
The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent written and verbal communication abilities, willingness to learn, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, attention to detail, and good organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their family circumstances, goals, and assets, and recommend suitable estate planning strategies
- Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documents
- Prepare and coordinate execution of documents, including funding trusts and updating beneficiary designations and deeds
- Assist with trust and estate administration and probate matters, including filings, accountings, and communication with beneficiaries and fiduciaries
- Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, and insurance professionals on client plans
- Manage a caseload with attention to deadlines, budgets, and billing
- Contribute to firm growth through client referrals, community education, and relationships with referral partners
Qualifications
- Active license in good standing with the Illinois bar
- 3+ years of experience in estate planning, and trusts and estates
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters at once
