Attorney Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a attorney in Nevada?
To practice law in Nevada you must pass the Nevada Bar Examination, administered by the State Bar of Nevada, and satisfy its character and fitness review. You first need a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school. After passing the bar, you are sworn in and licensed through the State Bar of Nevada, which also handles ongoing attorney registration and continuing legal education compliance required to maintain an active license.
How much do attorneys make in Nevada?
Attorneys in Nevada earn a median of about $150,510 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $96,010 for the lowest 10% to over $414,290 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire attorneys in Nevada?
Nevada attorney roles are posted by Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., Jobot, and GGRM Law Firm and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's gaming, hospitality, and real estate industries drive especially consistent demand for in-house and outside counsel across the state.
Which Nevada cities have the most attorney jobs?
Las Vegas, Henderson, and Reno have the most attorney openings in Nevada. Las Vegas and Henderson dominate due to the concentration of gaming corporations, real estate developers, and large civil litigation firms headquartered there, while Reno draws significant hiring from its growing technology sector, the University of Nevada, and the regional federal and state court presence.
Are there remote attorney jobs in Nevada?
Yes, though they represent a smaller share than in many desk-based professions, since much of legal work requires court appearances, client meetings, and in-person depositions. About 27% of attorney openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a mix of arrangements. Legal research, document review, compliance advisory, and transactional work are the areas most likely to accommodate remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a attorney in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a law clerk or junior associate role, which many Nevada law firms and the Nevada Attorney General's Office offer to recent graduates. Large regional firms in Las Vegas and Reno regularly hire first-year associates, and state and county public defender and district attorney offices run new-attorney programs that provide structured early-career experience. Passing the Nevada Bar promptly after graduation and completing a judicial clerkship with a Nevada state or federal district court judge gives candidates a strong competitive edge.
Where can I find and apply to attorney jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to attorney jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nevada openings across law firms, in-house legal departments, and government offices. Find the roles that fit your practice area and experience level and apply directly.
