We're hiring an HVAC Service & Sales Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has run a residential service department, coaches technicians call-by-call, and knows how to help close the job when a tech needs backup.
What You'll Own:
- Daily leadership of our residential HVAC service technician team
- Call-by-call management: real-time coaching on diagnosis, pricing, option presentation, and ticket building
- Helping techs close: presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners by phone or video when a tech needs support
- Driving department KPIs: close rate, average ticket, revenue per call, membership/maintenance agreement sales, and replacement leads turned over
- Daily huddles and ride-alongs; one-on-one coaching on presentation, value-based selling, and customer communication
- Working with dispatch to keep schedules tight and follow-ups from slipping
- Handling escalated calls and customer concerns with a customer-first mindset
- Reviewing job quality, callbacks, and warranty issues to find and fix trends
- Helping hire, onboard, and develop technicians
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years managing or supervising a residential HVAC service and/or sales team
- A track record of raising close rates and average tickets through coaching (bring your numbers)
- Strong HVAC technical background; NATE certification or field technician experience a plus
- Comfortable presenting options and closing over the phone or video
- ServiceTitan experience strongly preferred (or similar field service software)
- Analytical and KPI-driven; makes fast, data-driven decisions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak); Spanish a plus
Compensation:
- Base salary: $80,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
- Plus uncapped performance bonus tied to department results (close rate, average ticket, gross profit, memberships)
- Realistic first-year earnings: $110,000 - $130,000+
