Outside Sales Representative Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outside sales representative in Nevada?
Most Nevada employers hire outside sales representatives based on a combination of a bachelor's degree in business or marketing and prior sales experience, with no state-issued license required for the general role. Candidates entering medical device or pharmaceutical sales often complete manufacturer-sponsored product training. For construction-related products, familiarity with Nevada contractor licensing categories helps when calling on contractors. Starting in an inside sales or sales development role at a Nevada employer is a common path before moving to a field territory position.
How much do outside sales representatives make in Nevada?
Outside sales representatives in Nevada earn a median of about $68,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,500 for the lowest 10% to over $133,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire outside sales representatives in Nevada?
Nevada outside sales representative roles are posted by Canyon Creek Financial, Spectrum, and UniFirst and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nevada's concentration of hospitality, healthcare, and construction industries means employers in those sectors are among the most consistent sources of outside sales openings in the state.
Which Nevada cities have the most outside sales representative jobs?
Las Vegas, Reno, and Sparks have the most outside sales representative openings in Nevada. Las Vegas drives the largest share because of its massive hospitality, healthcare, and commercial construction industries, while Reno's manufacturing base and growing technology sector support strong demand, and Henderson's business parks and medical campuses attract regional sales teams from employers headquartered in the greater Las Vegas valley.
Are there remote outside sales representative jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they're rare. Outside sales by definition centers on face-to-face client meetings and territory management, so most roles require regular in-person work. About 44% of outside sales representative openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote options most common in technology and software sales where product demonstrations can be conducted virtually.
How can I get hired as a outside sales representative in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an inside sales or sales development representative role at a Las Vegas or Reno employer, then transferring to a field territory once you have a demonstrated record of hitting activity and pipeline targets. Large Nevada employers in medical devices and B2B services, including regional distributors, often run structured associate sales programs that pair new hires with senior reps for six to twelve months. Completing a manufacturer-sponsored product certification or a HubSpot or Salesforce administrator credential strengthens an application when competing for entry-level territory roles without prior field experience.
Where can I find and apply to outside sales representative jobs in Nevada?
