We are dedicated to delivering high-performance, reliable, and state-of-the-art semiconductor products to meet the demanding requirements of automotive electronics. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a Software Automation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will develop and maintain automation software and internal engineering tools, including scripts, debug utilities, and application tools to support silicon bring-up and validation. You will also help validate and test semiconductor devices to ensure they meet performance and reliability requirements. You will participate in design reviews, provide technical feedback, and work closely with hardware designers, firmware engineers, and product managers to support smooth system integration and successful product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Python scripts to automate feature and functional testing.
- Develop and maintain embedded SW tools for semiconductor devices.
- Validate chip functionality at both the electrical and protocol/system levels.
- Collaborate with chip designers and firmware engineers to analyze silicon behavior, debug issues, and resolve design concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ year Software Development experience.
- Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell.
- Familiarity with software development best practices and life cycle concepts.
- Experience with Python, C, or C++ programming.
- Understanding of electronic circuit design and analysis.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to independently debug complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Team player, able to communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi or other communication protocols is a plus.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipment is a plus.
