Role Summary

• NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Mid-to-Senior Backend .NET Developer with strong expertise in modern backend application development and cloud-native DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, GraphQL, and SQL Server, along with a strong understanding of scalable application architecture and API development.
• The role requires close collaboration with architects, frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to design and deliver secure, maintainable, and high-performing backend services.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Design and develop scalable APIs using GraphQL and modern API development practices.
• Develop data-access components using Entity Framework Core.
• Design and optimize solutions using SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Develop complex SQL queries and perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Implement applications following Clean Architecture principles and software engineering best practices.
• Develop reusable repository and service layers using appropriate design patterns.
• Implement and manage Dependency Injection (DI) across application components.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments to Kubernetes using Helm.
• Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment workflows using GitLab CI/CD.
• Integrate applications with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL and Azure AD/Entra ID authentication.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation and cloud-native delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, and backend application development.
• 3+ years of experience with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, database design, and query optimization.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and integrating GraphQL APIs.
• 2+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, GitLab CI/CD, and cloud-native application delivery.

• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Helm charts and Kubernetes configuration management.
• Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and API testing.
• Familiarity with application monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Experience with Azure-native application deployment and managed services.
• Understanding of secure coding and cloud security best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is $60 to $70. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
