Business Analyst Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst manager in Oregon?
Most business analyst managers in Oregon move up from senior individual-contributor analyst roles after building a record of leading cross-functional projects. Oregon does not issue a state license for this role, so hiring decisions rest on credentials like the Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI-PBA, combined with a relevant bachelor's or graduate degree. Portland-area employers in technology, healthcare, and financial services are the most consistent pipeline into management-track analyst positions.
How much do business analyst managers make in Oregon?
Business analyst managers in Oregon earn a median of about $101,840 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $73,300 for the lowest 10% to over $135,380 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst managers in Oregon?
Companies currently hiring business analyst managers in Oregon include Lam Research, AZAD Technology Partners, and Moda Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Oregon's concentration of technology headquarters, large healthcare networks, and regional financial institutions means openings appear consistently throughout the year rather than only in seasonal hiring cycles.
Which Oregon cities have the most business analyst manager jobs?
The Oregon cities with the most business analyst manager openings are Portland, Salem, and Hillsboro. Portland drives the majority of listings because it anchors the state's technology, healthcare, and professional-services sectors, while Beaverton benefits from Intel's large campus and the broader Washington County tech corridor, and Salem draws openings from state government agencies and regional healthcare organizations.
Are there remote business analyst manager jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business analyst manager work is desk-based, documentation-heavy, and well-suited to remote collaboration tools, so distributed arrangements are common. About 90% of business analyst manager openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in this role have accepted flexible work. Strategic planning, stakeholder presentations, and team oversight are the functions most frequently performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a business analyst manager in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a junior or associate business analyst role at a Portland-area technology firm, healthcare network like Oregon Health & Science University, or a state agency, then building project leadership experience before pursuing a manager title. Completing a CBAP or PMI-PBA certification while working in an analyst role signals management readiness to Oregon hiring teams. Lateral moves from project coordinator, data analyst, or product operations roles are common stepping stones at established Oregon employers.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Oregon?
