Director, Sales and Business Development
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 + Bonus Annually
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Englewood, CO (Hybrid 2 days in Office)
Early Learning Ventures (ELV) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the vision that “Every Child in America should have access to quality Childcare & Education.” We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales & Business Development (newly created position) to lead the organization's national growth strategy and accelerate market expansion across our technology-enabled early childhood education solutions. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, expanding ELV's national footprint, and leading a high-performing business development team. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a track record of building strong client relationships, securing enterprise-level partnerships, exceeding growth targets, and translating market opportunities into sustainable business results. As a visible ambassador of ELV, this leader will play a critical role in strengthening our market presence and advancing our mission through strategic business expansion.
Growth and Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive “National Business Development Strategy” that drives membership growth, revenue generation, market penetration, and long-term organizational sustainability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, sales metrics, and revenue forecasts to ensure consistent achievement of business goals.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Influence
- Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with national organizations, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and community partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic representative of ELV in negotiations, partnership development, and business expansion initiatives.
- Position ELV as an industry leader through active participation in national conferences, industry associations, and strategic networking opportunities.
Skills & Competencies

- Advanced Salesforce CRM expertise with strong analytical and business intelligence skills.

Experience
- Experience in early childhood education, childcare, education technology, workforce development, human services, or related sectors strongly preferred.
- Proven success in business development, strategic sales, account management, or revenue growth leadership roles.
- Demonstrated history of exceeding revenue, membership, or business growth targets.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing high-performing sales or business development teams.
- Experience developing and executing national or multi-state market expansion strategies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Education, or a related field required.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Travel: 40–45% annually
