Business Development Manager Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development manager job in Jacksonville?
Focus on Jacksonville's strongest hiring sectors: logistics and port-related commerce, healthcare systems, defense and government contracting, and financial services. Roles concentrate in the Southside, Deerwood Park, and the River City Marketplace corridor. Candidates with a network in Jacksonville's chamber or JaxUSA Partnership events, combined with experience closing B2B deals or managing government RFPs, stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire business development managers in Jacksonville?
Companies currently hiring business development managers in Jacksonville include Sika, VALD, and Bowhead, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Jacksonville's employer mix skews toward large regional healthcare systems, defense contractors with NAS Jacksonville ties, and multi-location logistics and distribution firms anchored by the city's deepwater port.
Are there remote business development manager jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though the role is mostly client-facing and relationship-driven, so full remote is less common than in purely desk-based work. About 43% of business development manager openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with those arrangements most common in SaaS, staffing, and national accounts roles where the territory is virtual rather than locally based.
How can I get a business development manager job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is moving up from an inside sales, account coordinator, or business development representative role within the city's healthcare, logistics, or staffing sectors. Employers like regional distributors, third-party logistics providers, and healthcare staffing firms regularly hire for junior BD roles that feed into manager tracks. Earning a Salesforce certification and joining the Jacksonville Chamber's young professionals network adds a concrete edge.
Which industries hire the most business development managers in Jacksonville?
The sectors hiring the most business development managers in Jacksonville are Chemicals & Materials, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Jacksonville's role as a logistics hub for the Southeast, combined with a large military presence and one of Florida's biggest healthcare footprints, keeps demand for business development talent consistently high across those sectors.
