THE OPPORTUNITY
The Lead Reporting, Data Strategy & Governance role is a senior individual contributor and people-influence position within the Compliance organization, responsible for modernizing and sustaining enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and governed data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
This role leverages deep prior reporting experience to transition legacy and ad-hoc reporting into scalable, standardized, and compliant analytics products. The position partners closely with internal and external business stakeholders to define requirements, manage competing priorities, and deliver trusted, governed insights that support regulatory, legal, and compliance objectives.
The role reports to the office three times a week.
THE WORK ITSELF
Reporting & Analytics Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and modernization of compliance reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
- Translate complex compliance and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable reporting solutions.
- Drive the migration of manual or legacy reports to sustainable, self-service analytics built on the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Ensure reporting solutions are performant, scalable, and reusable across the Compliance organization.
Data Strategy & Governance
- Partner with compliance stakeholders and data governance, and to ensure reporting aligns with enterprise data standards and governance policies.
- Define and document data definitions, business logic, metrics, and controls to enable consistent interpretation of compliance data.
- Advocate for governed, single-source-of-truth data usage and reduce reliance on shadow systems or uncontrolled datasets.
- Identify data quality issues and work with upstream partners to remediate root causes.
Stakeholder Partnership & Delivery
- Work directly with external and internal business partners, including Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams.
- Gather, prioritize, and manage reporting demand while balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Set expectations on scope, timelines, and data readiness; communicate risks and dependencies clearly.
- Deliver solutions iteratively while maintaining long-term sustainability and governance.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and promote best practices for Power BI development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Support production reporting through monitoring, enhancements, and controlled change management.
- Mentor analysts or matrixed team members on reporting standards, Power BI techniques, and compliance considerations.
THE SKILLS YOU BRING
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, report design, and workspace management) & Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses built on Snowflake using SQL.
- Knowledge of Agile or product-based delivery models.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality controls.
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory reporting, risk management, or audit domains.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams on pipeline design and data modeling.
- Prior experience leading reporting modernization or self-service analytics initiatives.
- Proven ability to work directly with business partners, manage expectations, and deliver sustainable analytics solutions.
- Experience operating in regulated or compliance-focused environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Base Pay Range: $90000 - $150000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
