This Tech & Ops group connects the core capabilities that power the operating engine behind whole portfolio investment management. The team’s goal is to engage and unlock synergies across adjacent operational functions to enable more effective service delivery as the business continues to grow and evolve. These efforts support a more cross-functional and integrated operating model across Tech & Ops, working in close partnership with Client Services & Solutions and Platform Enablement. Business Operations Services (BOS) is structured around distinct but connected teams that together power the operating model, including Portfolio Services, Reporting & Accounting Services, and Product Governance.

Your role and impact

The Administrative Business Partner will provide high-touch, proactive support to multiple Managing Directors responsible for leading global business units, including one leader who also serves as San Francisco Office Head. This role requires a highly organized, solutions-oriented professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage complex administrative needs with sound judgment, discretion, and minimal direction.

The ideal candidate anticipates needs, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and helps senior leaders operate efficiently across complex calendars, travel, meetings, local event coordination, team activities, and broader business demands. Success in this role requires strong communication, excellent follow-through, and the ability to build trusted relationships across senior stakeholders, internal teams, administrative peers, and external partners. Flexibility to support early morning business needs is beneficial.

Your responsibilities

• Manage complex executive calendars and coordinate meetings, events, and business engagements, proactively resolving conflicts and ensuring seamless execution.

• Coordinate global travel, prepare itineraries and supporting materials, and manage expense-related processes in accordance with firm policies.

• Drive follow-through on action items, requests, and deliverables while facilitating effective communication across stakeholders.

• Build strong partnerships across executives, teams, and administrative colleagues while contributing to team effectiveness through collaboration and coverage support.

• Use technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, streamline
  processes, and support business communications and materials.

  
  

Your experience

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and service orientation when managing confidential information and supporting stakeholders.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to varied audiences.

• Proficiency with productivity and collaboration technologies, with a willingness to adopt emerging tools and AI-enabled solutions.

• Proven ability to collaborate across functions while supporting senior leaders and complex global team environments.

• Demonstrated success in administrative support roles involving executive calendar management, travel coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
  
  

Note: Typical work hours are approximately 6:30-7:00 AM to 2:30-3:00 PM, with flexibility based on business needs.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$76,000.00 - USD$145,000.00 which is the equivalent of USD$36.54 - USD$69.71 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
