Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN/LPN - Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to care plans.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on clinical procedures and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation updates.
• Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols.
• Coordinate patient care activities such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, and pain management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, long-term care regulations, infection control policies, and clinical confidentiality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and memory care needs.
• Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
• Strong background in critical care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers, or hospital medicine.
• Skilled in triage assessment, acute pain management, infectious disease care, and respiratory support including ventilator management.
• Proficiency in ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding for procedures, and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation.
• Experience with long-term care facilities such as skilled nursing or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, suturing, and sterile techniques when necessary.
• Excellent caregiver communication skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care and team collaboration.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
