Client Manager Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client manager in South Carolina?
Most client manager roles in South Carolina require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, combined with prior client-facing or account management experience. For client managers in insurance, South Carolina requires a Property and Casualty or Life and Health license issued by the South Carolina Department of Insurance before you can manage policies or serve policyholders. Roles in financial services may require FINRA Series licenses. Outside those regulated sectors, building a portfolio of successful account outcomes is the most direct path to qualifying.
Which companies hire client managers in South Carolina?
Employers hiring client managers in South Carolina right now include Ardurra, Ovation Healthcare, and Marsh McLennan Agency, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. South Carolina's strong insurance, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing sectors mean client manager demand is distributed across both corporate headquarters and large regional offices throughout the state.
Which South Carolina cities have the most client manager jobs?
Columbia, Greenville, and Welcome hold the most client manager openings in South Carolina. Columbia leads because it is the state capital and home to BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's headquarters, while Charleston's growing financial services and technology corridor drives demand there, and Greenville's concentration of international manufacturers and healthcare systems supports steady hiring in that market.
Are there remote client manager jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and they are more common for this role than in many fields. About 45% of client manager openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on calls, email, and CRM platforms rather than on-site presence. Strategic account management and software or SaaS client success roles tend to have the highest share of fully remote positions.
How can I get hired as a client manager in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a customer service, inside sales, or account coordinator role into a junior client manager position. Large South Carolina employers such as BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Synchrony run rotational and associate programs that bring in candidates without direct account management experience. Earning a South Carolina Department of Insurance license, even before you need it for a role, signals commitment and gives you an edge in insurance-adjacent client management, which is one of the state's largest hiring categories.
Where can I find and apply to client manager jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to client manager jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings pulled from employers actively hiring across the state. Search the listings by city or specialization, find the roles that match your background, and apply directly through each posting.
