Client Manager Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client manager in Ohio?
Most client manager roles in Ohio require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers in financial services prefer candidates with a background in finance or accounting. Ohio does not require a state-issued license for general client management, but roles in financial services may call for FINRA Series 6 or Series 63 registrations. Building experience in sales support, account coordination, or customer success is the most direct path into the role.
Which companies hire client managers in Ohio?
Employers hiring client managers in Ohio right now include Hylant, Gallagher, and U.S. Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Ohio's concentration of insurance carriers, regional banks, and B2B technology firms means client manager demand is broad and consistent across multiple industries throughout the state.
Which Ohio cities have the most client manager jobs?
Cincinnati, Columbus, and Ohio have the most client manager openings in Ohio. Columbus leads because of its dense cluster of insurance, financial services, and technology employers, while Cleveland's strength in healthcare and banking drives steady demand and Cincinnati benefits from major corporate headquarters including consumer goods and logistics companies that maintain large client-facing teams.
Are there remote client manager jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than most fields. Client management is relationship-driven but largely desk-based, making it well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 48% of client manager openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have embraced flexible work for this role. SaaS account management and financial services client roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a client manager in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer success associate, inside sales, or account coordinator role at a mid-size or large Ohio employer. Companies like Nationwide, Progressive, and regional technology firms in Columbus and Cleveland regularly hire into associate account management programs that build toward full client manager responsibilities. A Salesforce administrator certification or a demonstrated record managing even small client relationships, such as through internships or campus organizations, gives candidates a clear edge when applying without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to client manager jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to client manager jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings across industries and experience levels. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
