Clinical Sales Manager Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical sales manager in North Dakota?
Most clinical sales managers in North Dakota move into the role after working in clinical settings or as sales representatives in medical devices or pharmaceuticals. There is no state-issued license specific to clinical sales, but employers in North Dakota typically require a bachelor's degree and documented sales performance in a healthcare-related field. Building familiarity with North Dakota's dominant health systems, particularly Sanford Health and Essentia Health, and earning a Certified Medical Representative credential strengthens a candidate's profile significantly.
How much do clinical sales managers make in North Dakota?
Clinical sales managers in North Dakota earn a median of about $119,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,610 for the lowest 10% to over $197,290 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical sales managers in North Dakota?
Employers hiring clinical sales managers in North Dakota right now include Sanford Health, CommonSpirit Health, and Northland Health Centers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. North Dakota's largest integrated health systems also drive indirect demand by serving as key accounts that attract device and pharmaceutical company representatives throughout the state.
Which North Dakota cities have the most clinical sales manager jobs?
Fargo, Bismarck, and Minot have the most clinical sales manager openings in North Dakota. Fargo leads because it anchors the state's largest concentration of hospital systems, specialty clinics, and regional distribution operations, while Bismarck and Grand Forks generate demand through their own medical centers and the corporate offices of healthcare organizations serving surrounding rural areas.
Are there remote clinical sales manager jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, but they're rare. Clinical sales managers typically work in person with hospital purchasing teams, surgeons, and clinical staff, which limits how much of the role can be done remotely. About 11% of clinical sales manager openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to involve administrative oversight, training, or inside sales coordination rather than direct territory work.
How can I get hired as a clinical sales manager in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a clinical role, such as a surgical technologist, registered nurse, or radiology technician, into a medical sales representative position with a device or pharmaceutical company that covers the North Dakota market. Sanford Health and Essentia Health both run clinical development programs that expose staff to vendor relationships and product evaluation, which can open doors. Completing a Certified Medical Representative program and targeting associate territory manager postings with companies already active in Fargo or Bismarck gives candidates without direct sales experience a credible starting point.
Where can I find and apply to clinical sales manager jobs in North Dakota?
You can find and apply to clinical sales manager jobs in North Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers active in the state. Search the listings, find the roles that match your background and target geography, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
