Social Work Adjunct faculty are needed to teach Introduction to Social Work and Human Behavior in the Social Environment courses on campus day, evening, weekend, remote synchronous, and/or online classes at the Community College of Baltimore County. Adjunct faculty will be expected to facilitate learning via preparation and delivery of instruction, cooperation with College support staff in timely submission of materials and grades as required, and coordination of activities with the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator. Adjunct faculty are selected based on program needs and subject matter expertise of the applicant. Adjunct faculty are required to attend department meetings, participate in professional development related to classroom instruction and pedagogy, be available to students outside of class, and assist in maintaining program accreditation.
Pay level: $1135 per credit hourMinimum Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Licensure as an LCSW-C, LCSW, or LMSW
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a social worker.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge.

- Develops a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies.
- Ensures that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner.
- Assure that assessment/evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assessing the established course objectives.
